WELCOME TO KIWITRIS!
A combination of Kiwi and Tetris. For those not in the know: Kiwi - a flightless bird found in New Zealand (as well as a Kiwifruit).
Images for this game came from the following websites - thanks to them!!:

If you want a Flash Tetris / Java Tetris online game, you've come to the right place.
Use the LEFT and RIGHT arrows to move the piece, and UP and DOWN to rotate the piece. Use D to move the piece down one space.
Using SPACE to drop the piece to the bottom will get you 1 point for each two squares the piece drops.
If you make a full row, you will get 100 points plus 10 points for each level. If you simultaneously make two, three or four rows, instead of the 100 points you will get 300, 600 or 1200 points respectively. |

I realise the colours on some levels (e.g. level 3) don't go well - it's hard to distinguish the pieces from the background. I'll be making the pieces on these levels easier to see very soon. |

I've decided not to change the colours on the lighter levels (e.g. 3, 8, and 9), I've gotten used to it. If people think that the blocks are too hard to see on some levels please let me know here and I'll think about including an option to make the pieces darker. |

I do think Kiwitris suffers from poor colour-visibility, and suggest that the block-colours be adjusted until they conform to the formulae at http://www.w3.org/TR/AERT#color-contrast.

Wow, they have a standard for everything these days, don't they!
I'll definitely keep that standard in mind for the next release, if there will be one. |

I think the controls are to sensitive, i tape the arrow key and it spins out of control, can you slow it down? |

That was my reaction, too, when I first played Kiwitris, but I soon got used to the sensitivity of the controls. When I first started, I used to tape the arrow key, and rip the tape off when I wanted it to stop spinning, but now I just give the arrow key a few quick taps.
It helps to learn the four orientations of each tetromino, and how many taps – up or down – it takes to reach the desired orientation as quickly as possible, which is essential as the game gets faster.

Hi gascoyne, I've been trying to sort it out with my hosting provider but I haven't got anywhere yet. The same process I've been using for the last five years suddenly doesn't work anymore and I haven't changed anything, so that means my hosting company are almost certainly at fault.
Unfortunately they're not very helpful at the best of times |
