Perhaps I have a rose-coloured memory of my Cavern 31 score. But I plan to pass the 58000-barrier and set a new all-time personal high very soon anyway!

Danny, you previously scored 26894 for Cavern 13, according to the Shoutbox Archive.

New all-time world high of 44372 for Cavern 23. You knew all along it wouldn't be easy, Mr. Bond, you knew it all too well .

New all-time world high of 42133 for Cavern 22.

Cavern 13: 26636 pts. New high on the current scoreboard. World all-time high, perhaps?

jetsetdanny

... since I don't have any MM proper high scores saved between the end of March and the beginning of July (I've got CL scores, though, hence this info).

Andrew, at the beginning of May you had a MM score of 57946 pts. (No. 4 on the scoreboard back then). This might be it, but I can't tell which Cavern you reached, ...

New personal all-time high of 48199 for Cavern 25 (the world all-time high is 48367 by You-Know-Who). I'll have a tough time beating that for Cavern 26 tomorrow!

The number 58367 has just popped into my head, but it seems I never made a note of it!

I'm pretty embarrassed to ask this, but do you happen to remember my all-time personal high for Manic Miner - the time I reached Cavern 31? All I can remember is that it was above 58000.

The world all-time high for Cavern 14 is 29079 by Yours Truly. I also have the world all-time highs for Caverns 16, 17, 22, 23 and 28, and presumably for Caverns 1 to 12 also.

Thanks, Danny - I wish I'd kept a better record of all-time highs. I'll endeavour to do so from now on - and retrospectively, by going through the claims in the archives.

OK, I've found another one. My all-time high for Cavern 14 is 28496 pts. (recorded on 03.02.2008), higher than your current score for that level, Andrew.

I may have missed something else, too, since I don't seem to have saved the MM high score table at the end of May or June.

tion.

Having said all that, I don't have the score tables from the time you competed against jogo76, so I can't guarantee he (she ? ) didn't have higher scores for some of the Caverns in ques

These may be world records, except for Cavern 28, where you hold a better result of 56659 pts. registered on 31.03.2008.

Darnkitty Flash Cards (Mobile version)
Free JAVA flashcards software for your mobile phone

Screenshot - mobile cellphone version

Introduction

If you're learning a new language, why not spend your lunch break or your daily train ride brushing up on your vocabulary? If you have a JAVA enabled cellphone, this application will allow you to do exactly that!
You can create lists of words yourself, or download lists of words from this site. For a more detailed list of features, visit the information page.

First, the disclaimer!

I created this flash cards application for my Nokia N95 one day to help me learn a new language, and I've decided to make it available for all to use. However, I can't (and don't) guarantee it will work on your particular phone / blackberry / modded PSP / gran's rotary phone.
I hope that it will run on any device that meets the requirements listed below, but since my Nokia N95 is the only JAVA mobile device I have access to, I can't test it on any other devices. I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to your device - although this is highly unlikely to happen... it's such a simple application!

Device Requirements

This mobile version of will only run on handheld devices which support JAVA Mobile Edition and the FileConnection API (JSR 75). Most newer phones will have this functionality.

Installation

Installing the portable version of is slightly more complicated than installing the Windows version. First, check your mobile phone meets the requirements above. Trying to run the application on an unsupported phone will raise an error (but won't hurt anything!).

There are two ways to install the application on your phone - you can either use your phone's web browser and download the file directly (your network provider may or may not charge for this service), or you can download the application here and transfer it to your phone via infra-red, bluetooth, or USB cable.

Downloading directly onto your phone using WAP:

This is the simpler way - however your mobile provider may charge for this service. Point your phone's web browser at: http://wap.darnkitty.com/dkfc.jar, and then follow the instructions on the phone. For your information, the file size is a mere 17,388 bytes.

Downloading here and then transferring to your phone via infra-red, cable, or bluetooth:

This way is guaranteed not to incur any mobile data charges, but is slightly more complicated.

Step 1 - Download the ZIP file by clicking the link below. Unzip these files to any location on your computer.

<< Start the download >>
MOBDKFC100.ZIP V1.00 (17,034 bytes)

Step 2 - Install the application (the JAR and JAD files you just extracted) on your phone using the software that came with your phone. The procedure to do this will depend on the type of device you have.

Nokia: Use the Nokia PC Suite: Asia, Europe, U.S.A.
Sony Ericsson: Use this helpful guide: How to install a Java application...
Any other device: Google is your friend. Search Google below (opens a new window):

Now what?

The application isn't much use without any flash cards! Click one of the following two links to get some flash cards:

FLASH CARDS CREATOR
This is the application you will need to create flash cards from scratch.
SAMPLE FLASH CARDS
To get you started, you can find a few flash cards files here.

And, once you're in possession of some flash cards, you can read the guide on how to use the program:

THE GUIDE
Detailed instructions on how to use the application once it's installed.
