Congratulations to flakothedog for improving the JSW world all-time high to *104* 22m23s, but it would take an unbelievable performance to do the same for MM, beating the superman that is jetsetdanny!

Getting problems with submitting a new jsw endurance time

I'm over halfway there, jetsetdanny. Just a matter of time...

The Gold Medal will have to wait a little longer, as I'll have to play my best-ever game, and pass Cavern 43 for my first time ever in competition, if I am to beat flakothedog's 88897.

I have taken the Manic Miner Silver Medal with 49475, after losing my lives in Caverns 18 (the usual reason), 24 (stupid lapse of concentration) and 27 (a slow start spoiled my timing).

A bit more effort required tonight, but I have regained the Bronze Medals for both modes of JSW. I was actually playing for Normal Mode completion, but my form was really poor.

great...thanks Andrew!

You can, but you don't even have to. In a nutshell, the solution is to go up the middle, then right, then down, then up the trellis.

Can anyone help out with Manic Miner...I am currently stuck on cavern 15 (The Bank). Can you jump over the envelope? Thanks, Oscar

I've also grabbed an easy Bronze Medal in Jet Set Willy (Normal Mode), whilst already holding Bronze in Manic Miner, but the other games will have to wait for my assault on the podia...

Cheese, Louise: after hardly playing at all for weeks, I have just registered a score of 5185 - my second-highest of all time - to regain the Gold Medal.

I should have kept JSW64: Flash Manic Miner to myself, but when jetsetdanny came up with the idea independently, I had to reveal that I was already working on it.

Thank you. I would like to dedicate my achievement to EmuZWin2.7 spectrum emulator, to my wife for her support, and to Andrew Broad for his speccy conversion of JSW64: Flash Manic Miner!

I had feared for the last few months that this day was imminent. Congratulations to flakothedog for overtaking my Manic Miner all-time personal high of 83092 with 88897.

Yes, I read the posts in the MM forum. Brings a nice new slant to the games.

Darnkitty Flash Cards
Free flashcards software for your PC and mobile phone

Screenshots - mobile and PC versions

Introduction

While trying to learn a foreign language I found flash cards to be extremely useful. I thought that perhaps using flashcards would provide me with something to do on my daily train ride into work.

However, I was astonished by the lack of suitable software for doing this. So I decided to write a flashcards utility myself. I've uploaded this software here so you can download it for yourself.

Features

  • Fully customisable sets of flash cards with the ability to create your own groups of flash cards
  • Rate yourself on each word so that words you become comfortable with appear less frequently
  • Organise words into multiple categories for ease of use

System requirements

Mobile version: The Mobile version of Darnkitty Flash Cards will only run on handheld devices which support JAVA Mobile Edition and the FileConnection API (JSR 75). Most newer phones and devices should have this functionality.
Windows version: The Windows version of Darnkitty Flash Cards has no special requirements other than a PC running Windows.

Download

There are two steps to installing the Darnkitty Flash Cards application.

  1. Install the Flash Cards Viewer - this allows you to view Flash Cards files and actually practice your vocabulary.
  2. Get some Flash Cards - either create your own, or download the samples.

STEP 1 - Click on a version to visit the web page for that version, where you can read detailed system requirements and installation instructions, and also download the application.

FLASH CARDS VIEWER
 WINDOWS VERSION

For desktop PCs running Microsoft Windows
FLASH CARDS VIEWER
 JAVA MOBILE VERSION

For mobile phones (and other JAVA enabled mobile devices)

STEP 2 - Once you have installed one of these two versions, you will need one of the following two links:

FLASH CARDS CREATOR
This is the application you will need to create the actual flash cards.
SAMPLE FLASH CARDS
To get you started, you can find a few flash cards files here.

STEP 3 (Optional) - Then, once you're in possession of some flash cards, you can read the guide on how to use the program:

Detailed instructions on how to use the application once it's installed.
